Hillcrest Motel - Saint John

The owner generously upgraded us to two rooms at no extra cost, making our stay comfortable despite the second room's age. The location was ideal for our one-night stop during our trip.

The idea to include a microwave oven and a refrigerator in the double room was nice. The bed was comfortable, the staff were very very nice and affable. Location: the hotel was close enough to the ferry to Digby...

So, we stayed here for one night and you know what? The owner was actually reasonable. I explained that it wasn't a good environment for my kids, and, surprisingly, he gave me back my money right away with no issues which was the only positive.

It wasn't exactly cheap but still somewhat acceptable under the circumstances.

The location was good, near Saint John and the ferry. The room was good and the staff was really helpful and amicable!

The owner was fantastic and upgraded us to a two-room arrangement at no extra cost, a huge win for our family on the road. The renovated room was clean and had nice amenities like a ceiling fan and tv. Some areas of the unrenovated room could use some attention.

great access to parks and historical landmarks for city strolls

I loved how close I was to the Irving Nature Park Children's Forest, made for a fantastic walking spot. The Reversing Falls Rapids were just a short drive away, offering fine views. It's definitely a great base for exploring the area's natural beauty and nearby attractions. The accommodations were comfortable enough for a single traveler like me.

This was just a top selection for a brief stop-in in Saint John with really good value. There was even a toaster in the room, a nice surprise. If you're on a budget, keep your expectations low.
